What you need:
5 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
5 cups mini marshmallows
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
food colouring
Rolos (mini rolos might work better)
Candy melts, or chocolate chips

What to do:
Put the cereal in a large bowl and set aside. Melt the butter in a large sauce pan, over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add the milk and vanilla.

To colour the marshmallow mixture orange you can use red and yellow food colouring (or orange gel colour). Add the colouring to the mixture and continue to stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and pour into the cereal. Give it a good mix.

Let it cool for approximately 5-10 minutes before trying to work with it, otherwise it will be asticky mess and you won't be able to form it into balls.

Oil your hands and form balls from the cereal mixture. ***Note: I still found the mixture to be a little too sticky to work with so I placed the mixture in between two sheets of parchment paper and rolled the cereal into balls using the parchment paper.

Continue with the rest of the cereal mixture and place on parchment paper or foil to continue cooling.

To make the jack-o-lantern faces, melt the candy melts or chocolate chips and place in a piping bag or regular zip lock bag will work. Cut the tip and draw on the faces.

Dab a small amount of the melted on the top of the pumpkin and place a rolo on top, this helps the rolo adhere to the cereal. I used regular sized rolos but think they look more like top hats than stems, so mini ones might work better.

I aslo made little leaves for the pumpkins by drawing a leaf outline on an acetate roll using the melted candy melts (you can also do it on parchment paper). Place in the fridge for a few minutes until the chocolate has hardened and carefully remove from the paper. Apply a small dab of the melted chocolate next to the rolo and attach your chocolate leaf.
